Job Description

Overview

  • Manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to maintain smooth project operations.
  • Perform carpentry tasks such as installing doors, hardware, and partitions as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, timesheets, safety audits, and project drawings.
  • Ensure cost control and quality standards are met throughout project execution.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and address punch list items post-project completion.
  • Foster a culture of safety excellence by leading through example and promoting best practices.
  • Mediate on-site personnel conflicts to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee construction site operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including installation of doors and hardware.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, audits, and drawings.
  • Manage project costs, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project walkthroughs and address punch list items.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality excellence on-site.
  • Resolve conflicts among on-site personnel to maintain project harmony.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a foreman or superintendent in construction.
  • High School Diploma or GED required for eligibility.
  • Proficiency in carpentry tasks, including door and hardware installation.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and control costs.
  • Commitment to promoting safety and quality standards on-site.
  • Capability to mediate conflicts and foster collaboration among personnel.
