Job Description

Overview

  • Lead tax compliance and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals and private businesses.
  • Oversee tax return processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Mentor and manage staff accountants, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Identify and resolve complex tax issues, providing proactive solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for expanded services and business growth.
  • Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment while maintaining independent work capabilities.
  • Support the Private Client Services team in achieving financial goals and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review tax projections, workpapers, and returns for individuals and fiduciaries.
  • Oversee tax return processes, ensuring compliance and resolution of issues.
  • Mentor and train staff accountants to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Manage engagements, including budgeting, billing, and engagement economics.
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting services for S-corporations and partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities for new client services and business growth.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Stay updated on technical tax developments to provide expert advice.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field required; CPA or JD mandatory.
  • 10+ years of progressive tax compliance and consulting experience in public/private sectors.
  • Expertise in individual and fiduciary tax returns, S-corporations, and partnerships.
  • Strong experience managing complex technical tax engagements.
  • Preferred Master’s degree in Tax or equivalent field.
  • Proven ability to acquire new clients and grow business portfolios.
  • Proficient in budgeting, billing, and managing engagement economics.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills in a team-oriented environment.
