Overview
- Lead tax compliance and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals and private businesses.
- Oversee tax return processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Mentor and manage staff accountants, fostering professional growth and development.
- Identify and resolve complex tax issues, providing proactive solutions to clients.
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for expanded services and business growth.
- Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment while maintaining independent work capabilities.
- Support the Private Client Services team in achieving financial goals and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review tax projections, workpapers, and returns for individuals and fiduciaries.
- Oversee tax return processes, ensuring compliance and resolution of issues.
- Mentor and train staff accountants to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
- Manage engagements, including budgeting, billing, and engagement economics.
- Provide tax compliance and consulting services for S-corporations and partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for new client services and business growth.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Stay updated on technical tax developments to provide expert advice.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field required; CPA or JD mandatory.
- 10+ years of progressive tax compliance and consulting experience in public/private sectors.
- Expertise in individual and fiduciary tax returns, S-corporations, and partnerships.
- Strong experience managing complex technical tax engagements.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Tax or equivalent field.
- Proven ability to acquire new clients and grow business portfolios.
- Proficient in budgeting, billing, and managing engagement economics.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills in a team-oriented environment.
