Overview
- Lead the management of a diverse grants portfolio, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational goals.
- Supervise analysts in grants and contracts operations, providing strategic oversight and support.
- Oversee financial activities, including budgeting, billing, and receivables tracking for assigned grants.
- Collaborate with program personnel to prepare budget modifications and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenditures in general ledger accounts.
- Coordinate subcontractor compliance, invoicing, and reporting activities.
- Provide forecasts and analyses for programs and potential funding opportunities.
- Support audits and year-end financial reviews, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and generate detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage contract registration, billing packages, and timely submission of reports to funding sources.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts by program, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances with grantors.
- Prepare budget narratives and modifications for programs and new funding opportunities.
- Coordinate subcontractor contract compliance, invoicing, and reporting activities.
- Generate and analyze reports using Excel, ensuring data accuracy and insights.
- Collaborate with FP&A to provide financial forecasts and analyses.
- Support program audits and year-end reviews, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in grants accounting and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software such as FE or similar systems preferred.
- Knowledge of NYC Passport and state SFS systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
