Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and enhance the safety program for a prominent construction company.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct jobsite safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
  • Coordinate safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Maintain documentation and track safety performance metrics.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to integrate safety into operational strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on incident investigations and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training and orientation programs.
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety standards are upheld.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, or similar.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education is a plus.
  • Proven ability to foster a proactive safety culture in construction environments.
  • Experience in incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
