Overview
- Lead and enhance the safety program for a prominent construction company.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
- Conduct jobsite safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain documentation and track safety performance metrics.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate safety into operational strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on incident investigations and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training and orientation programs.
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety standards are upheld.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Preferred certifications: OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, or similar.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites.
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education is a plus.
- Proven ability to foster a proactive safety culture in construction environments.
- Experience in incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
