Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the operations of the Family Birth Center, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational goals to enhance maternal and child health services.
  • Advise medical staff and administrators on patient care strategies and clinical best practices.
  • Communicate organizational goals to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional care delivery.
  • Develop innovative approaches to healthcare delivery, emphasizing social justice and health equity.
  • Oversee labor and delivery services in a mid to large-sized hospital, ensuring operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to front-line leaders, promoting professional growth and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct daily operations of the Family Birth Center, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care protocols and clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction within maternal and child health services.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to align with organizational objectives.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently to support departmental goals and operational needs.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to maintain high levels of competency and morale.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience and two years of leadership experience in labor and delivery services.
  • Active Registered Nursing License (RN) in California and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Proven track record of success in managing maternal and child health services in mid to large-sized hospitals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
