Overview

  • Manage and oversee the accounts payable operations in a dynamic, high-growth organization.
  • Supervise a team of 15-20 AP specialists, ensuring efficient invoice processing and payment cycles.
  • Implement and optimize processes to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze AP reports, providing insights for financial decisions.
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Lead strategic initiatives, including system upgrades and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
  • Mentor and develop AP team members, fostering a high-performing environment.
  • Design and implement AP procedures to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing payment issues and optimizing terms.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting regulations.
  • Generate and review AP reports to monitor metrics and support decision-making.
  • Coordinate audit activities, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Oversee AP systems, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Netsuite, and AP processing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and compliance standards.
  • Experience in high-volume organizations with multiple locations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
