Job Description

Overview

  • Lead clinical operations in a residential program for youth aged 12–18 with complex mental health diagnoses.
  • Develop and enhance transitional and permanency programs to ensure successful outcomes for youth and families.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to transitional and family support teams, focusing on healing family dynamics and educational success.
  • Collaborate with community-based programs to ensure efficient and effective family support services.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, pre-admissions, and discharge conferences to ensure compliance and effective care.
  • Maintain relationships with local resources and systems impacting youth and families, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Work closely with the in-house school system to meet educational needs of residents.
  • Ensure compliance with OMH regulations and guidelines while managing transitional funds effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee clinical supervision and support for transitional coordinators and family support specialists.
  • Develop and implement plans addressing barriers to successful reunification for youth and families.
  • Lead joint meetings with community programs to ensure comprehensive family support.
  • Monitor utilization of transitional funds, ensuring alignment with OMH policies.
  • Provide direct transitional coordinator services as needed, ensuring consistent care.
  • Participate in administrative meetings, presenting updates and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Supervise documentation and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support educational and emotional growth for residents.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • LCSW certification or equivalent licensure mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in social services.
  • Experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
