Overview

  • Lead ground-up construction projects for large-scale retail developments, ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate multi-million-dollar initiatives, including site preparation, infrastructure development, and project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, construction codes, and industry standards throughout project phases.
  • Monitor budgets and schedules, implementing corrective actions to achieve project goals effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise all phases of ground-up construction for large-scale retail projects, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Coordinate site activities, managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, uphold safety standards, and address challenges.
  • Prepare detailed project reports, outlining progress, challenges, and solutions for stakeholders.
  • Implement problem-solving strategies to address on-site issues, minimizing delays and optimizing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project quality.
  • Ensure adherence to budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management; 12 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing ground-up construction projects exceeding $10MM.
  • Strong knowledge of site work processes, infrastructure development, and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to travel extensively to project sites and adapt to diverse environments and challenges.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools for efficient project oversight.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
