Overview

  • Lead and manage construction projects for a rapidly growing general contracting firm with a focus on commercial and franchise retail developments.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, fostering client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including in-house civil engineering experts, to streamline project execution.
  • Participate in company culture initiatives, contributing to a family-like work environment and team-building activities.
  • Support the firm's expansion into diverse commercial sectors, including manufacturing, office spaces, and banking facilities.
  • Work on-site in Houston with occasional travel to Austin and San Antonio for project oversight.

  • Leverage your expertise to manage ground-up construction projects and light commercial developments efficiently.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful completion of construction projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to address challenges promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, providing updates on milestones and financial performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management; 7 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing ground-up construction projects and light commercial developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites in Austin and San Antonio.
  • Experience with project management software and tools to streamline workflows.
