Job Description

Overview

  • Perform CT and X-ray procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor.
  • Utilize independent judgment to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer contrast agents and perform invasive procedures with proper techniques.
  • Provide care to patients across all age groups, from newborn to elderly.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with department procedures.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety practices, and radiation safety guidelines.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to professional growth initiatives.
  • Support training of new staff and students within the department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate CT and X-ray equipment according to specifications and protocols.
  • Ensure quality imaging and adhere to established procedures and standards.
  • Assess patients and document pertinent information for exams performed.
  • Provide patient education related to procedures and document accordingly.
  • Utilize RIS for accurate and complete documentation of procedures.
  • Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization while meeting productivity standards.
  • Participate in special projects and perform non-technical duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to physical demands and safety protocols during work activities.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree and graduation from an accredited ARRT program.
  • Current ARRT certification is required for this position.
  • Preferred two years of experience in CT and X-ray procedures.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and quality imaging procedures independently.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record management.
  • Knowledge of contrast media usage and patient assessment techniques.
  • Strong commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
