Job Description

Overview

  • Provide operational support for equity derivatives, including options, futures, forwards, synthetics, ETFs, and related instruments.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and trade lifecycle management.
  • Enhance reporting and workflows through data analysis and system optimization to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support onboarding and maintenance of operational infrastructure, systems, and workflows for the organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports analyzing holdings, performance, leverage, and risk exposures for portfolio management.
  • Participate in cash management, collateral movements, margining, and liquidity monitoring processes.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of operational processes and systems.
  • Respond to ad-hoc operational and data inquiries by producing accurate and timely analyses.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operational processes supporting portfolio management and trading activities across equity derivative strategies.
  • Oversee trade lifecycle processes, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation for equity derivatives.
  • Liaise with traders, portfolio managers, counterparties, and service providers to resolve breaks and operational issues.
  • Review valuations, reconciliations, and position verification processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare portfolio-level reporting, including performance, leverage, and risk exposure analysis.
  • Support the development and enhancement of operational tools, dashboards, and automated reports.
  • Execute internal controls and departmental procedures to maintain operational standards.
  • Partner with Operations and Finance teams to improve reporting, controls, and data integrity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • 3–6 years of middle office or operations experience within hedge funds or investment management firms.
  • Hands-on experience with equity derivative settlement, valuation, and administration preferred.
  • Proficiency in portfolio and order management systems; Enfusion experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and financial market data platforms.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to structured credit products such as CLOs, ABS, RMBS, and CMBS is a plus.
