Job Description

Overview

  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to the Government Relations team for legislative, advocacy, and departmental initiatives.
  • Monitor congressional activity and assist in preparing reports, briefing materials, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate meetings and events to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain departmental records and support communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance legislative and advocacy efforts.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives.
  • Support the Government Relations leader in achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor legislative and congressional activities, providing timely updates and insights to the team.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for meetings, events, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports, briefing materials, and correspondence for internal and external use.
  • Maintain departmental records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to promote collaboration.
  • Assist in the development and execution of advocacy strategies and legislative initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Congress and the legislative process.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, briefing materials, and correspondence.
  • Experience in coordinating meetings and events with diverse participants.
