Overview

  • Manage construction projects remotely with frequent travel to oversee job sites and ensure project success.
  • Utilize your expertise in ground-up commercial construction to lead diverse projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain professional relationships and project standards.
  • Adapt to evolving priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Oversee superintendents and ensure projects progress according to schedule and quality standards.
  • Work remotely while traveling to the west coast 2-3 days per week.
  • Leverage your construction management experience to deliver successful outcomes for commercial and light industrial projects.
  • Contribute to the client's mission by ensuring project efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Manage communication with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain project alignment.
  • Supervise superintendents and provide guidance to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Adapt to changing project priorities and implement solutions to address challenges effectively.
  • Conduct site visits on the west coast to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across all projects.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and addressing concerns.
  • Utilize construction management software to track project metrics and optimize workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with ground-up commercial construction expertise.
  • Experience with commercial, light industrial, and conversion projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to manage job sites and oversee superintendents effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel 2-3 days per week and work remotely otherwise.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools is preferred.
  • Self-storage project experience is a plus but not mandatory.
