Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Accountant, managing financial reconciliations, analysis, and forecasting for a dynamic organization.
  • Contribute to reserve valuations, procedure development, and ledger backup testing.
  • Engage in special projects to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote work flexibility.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills and GAAP knowledge to ensure financial integrity.
  • Participate in month-end close processes and financial transmission activities.
  • Support inventory management and fixed asset audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Develop solutions for financial discrepancies and present actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.
  • Monitor balance sheet trends and report potential exposures to management.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies with proactive solutions.
  • Test ledger backups and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting transmissions.
  • Support physical inventory audits and fixed asset management initiatives.
  • Contribute to internal and external tax audits for fixed assets.
  • Collaborate on special projects to improve financial systems and practices.
  • Provide analytical support to department managers and team members.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; 7 years preferred.
  • CPA certification is mandatory for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to research authoritative pronouncements.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for financial analysis.
  • Experience with audits in regional or international public accounting firms is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional in-office requirements.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges.
