Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate and review federal, state, and local tax returns with external advisors.
  • Prepare calculations for quarterly estimated payments and extensions.
  • Analyze ledger data to ensure compliance and accurate tax forecasting.
  • Maintain and streamline tax fixed asset ledgers and related processes.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual REIT asset and income tests.
  • Support shareholder reporting, including preparation of Forms 1099-DIV.
  • Coordinate documentation for audits and collaborate with external advisors.
  • Manage partnership tax matters, including Schedule K-1 allocations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation required; CPA license preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate tax or public accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with REIT taxation and compliance is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
