Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Review work prepared by third-party fund administrators, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate fund distributions and capital activities efficiently, maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing to enhanced operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior accounting leadership on ad hoc projects and detailed financial analyses.
  • Partner with internal teams across finance, operations, and investment departments to ensure integrated operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or relevant fund accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively collaborate and present findings.
  • High attention to detail and intellectual curiosity to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a proactive approach.
  • Experience with process improvements and operational initiatives is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools to support accounting operations effectively.
