Job Description

Overview

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture aligned with business objectives and data program goals.
  • Develop scalable, efficient, and real-time data models within a Delta Lakehouse architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Leverage modern data modeling principles to drive business intelligence and analytics.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies like Microsoft Fabric and Medallion Architecture.
  • Enhance data governance practices, including metadata management and data quality assurance.
  • Define and maintain canonical data models for consistency across the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise data management practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and develop enterprise data models for analytics and operational reporting.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling in a lakehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to create optimized physical data models.
  • Develop frameworks for data governance, including lineage tracking and quality assurance.
  • Guide ETL/ELT strategies for data integrity and performance optimization.
  • Review and enhance existing data models for improved performance and alignment.
  • Advise on data modeling tools and management solutions.
  • Document and enforce data modeling standards across engineering teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, modeling, or database design.
  • Expertise in data modeling methodologies, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
  • Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, SQL, and Delta Lake architecture.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Medallion Architecture.
  • Strong SQL skills for query optimization and data analysis.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and integration strategies.
  • Preferred experience with data governance tools and machine learning feature stores.
