Job Description

Overview

  • Lead payroll processing and employee file maintenance for accurate and timely wage payments.
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion Payroll to streamline payroll operations and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support equity compensation and special payroll transactions.
  • Analyze complex payroll transactions to identify discrepancies and implement solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships to address payroll inquiries professionally.
  • Assist with payroll system testing, enhancements, and documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives to enhance payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process multi-state payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain employee master file data including new hires, terminations, and tax updates.
  • Support equity compensation events such as RSU vesting and stock option exercises.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and reporting for Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Analyze pay transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll system or process issues.
  • Assist with garnishments and legally required payroll deductions.
  • Support payroll system testing and documentation for process improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective payroll execution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred, with APA Certification (CPP or FPC).
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Payroll and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and equity compensation transactions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in dynamic settings.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with global payroll processes or international payroll considerations preferred.
