Overview

  • Lead perioperative services at a healthcare organization, overseeing surgical operations and ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance service offerings, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage a large team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, expense management, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow and throughput, coordinating admissions and discharges effectively.
  • Support employee engagement and professional development through coaching, training, and recognition programs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee surgical services operations, including OR, CVOR, anesthesia, and related departments.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements across all perioperative services.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion and technological advancements to drive growth.
  • Provide leadership in staff development, engagement, and retention strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care surgical services experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in a director-level role within healthcare operations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
