- Support the litigation practice group with administrative and organizational tasks in a dynamic legal setting.
- Provide assistance to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Handle conflict checks, prepare engagement letters, and manage case documentation accurately.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for legal professionals.
- Assist in business development efforts, including creating presentations and proposals.
- Review billing statements for accuracy and compliance with engagement terms.
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures by uploading and managing legal documents.
- Proofread and edit documents for grammatical and typographical errors.
- Participate in training coordination and other administrative duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide administrative support to litigation practice group attorneys and paralegals.
- Perform conflict checks and prepare related documentation with precision.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, ensuring high accuracy and quality.
- Manage attorney schedules, arrange meetings, and coordinate travel plans.
- Support marketing initiatives by preparing presentations and proposals.
- Review and verify billing statements for consistency and compliance.
- Upload and organize legal documents in accordance with firm policies.
- Coordinate training sessions and ensure compliance with CLE requirements.
- Perform additional administrative tasks to support the litigation team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3 years preferred in a legal setting.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
