Job Description

Overview

  • Support the litigation practice group with administrative and organizational tasks in a dynamic legal setting.
  • Provide assistance to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient operations.
  • Handle conflict checks, prepare engagement letters, and manage case documentation accurately.
  • Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for legal professionals.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including creating presentations and proposals.
  • Review billing statements for accuracy and compliance with engagement terms.
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures by uploading and managing legal documents.
  • Proofread and edit documents for grammatical and typographical errors.
  • Participate in training coordination and other administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide administrative support to litigation practice group attorneys and paralegals.
  • Perform conflict checks and prepare related documentation with precision.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, ensuring high accuracy and quality.
  • Manage attorney schedules, arrange meetings, and coordinate travel plans.
  • Support marketing initiatives by preparing presentations and proposals.
  • Review and verify billing statements for consistency and compliance.
  • Upload and organize legal documents in accordance with firm policies.
  • Coordinate training sessions and ensure compliance with CLE requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks to support the litigation team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3 years preferred in a legal setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on client service.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in legal administrative support or similar roles is advantageous.
