It Operations Engineer

Overview

• Provide expert IT operations support, ensuring seamless technology performance across hybrid cloud environments and on-premises systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external MSPs to optimize IT infrastructure and resolve technical challenges.
• Manage and enhance desktop support, focusing on user satisfaction and system reliability within a Windows-based environment.
• Oversee hardware and software procurement, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and technological advancements.
• Contribute to IT project execution, leveraging expertise in cloud technologies and networking solutions.
• Support secure connections to third-party tools, utilizing SSO and other authentication methods.
• Foster innovation and collaboration within a dynamic team environment, driving technological growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Deliver high-quality IT support to staff, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Log and analyze user requests in a ticketing system, identifying trends to improve service delivery.
• Coordinate with MSPs to manage desktop support, phone systems, printers, and cybersecurity projects effectively.
• Execute IT infrastructure projects, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
• Utilize Powershell scripting to automate processes and enhance system management capabilities.
• Support networking and server provisioning tasks, ensuring robust and scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with vendors to procure and manage IT resources, maintaining optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices in all IT operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in IT support, focusing on Windows-based environments and hybrid cloud systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, O365 applications, and on-premises Active Directory.
• Experience with networking, server provisioning, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Skilled in Powershell scripting for system automation and management.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, SQL, and AWS is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling IT initiatives independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
