Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential support to healthcare providers, ensuring efficient clinic operations and delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment.
  • Assist in clinical procedures, including obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and maintaining accurate patient records in electronic medical systems.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts and exam rooms to facilitate smooth daily operations and enhance patient experience.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs and ensure optimal clinic workflow.
  • Engage with patients professionally, addressing their concerns and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining clinical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient encounters.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and universal precautions to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support administrative tasks, including scheduling and patient communication, to enhance clinic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and maintain patient charts and documentation to support clinical activities.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies for patient care.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and chief complaints accurately.
  • Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures and patient care tasks.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Support administrative functions, including patient scheduling and communication, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer literacy essential.
  • Strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy, with a commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
