Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Screen, discharge, and counsel patients while documenting observations in medical records.
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations following established protocols.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs, vision tests, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and clinical equipment.
- Order and manage medications, immunizations, and clinical supplies.
- Process laboratory tests and referrals according to clinical guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with infection control measures and safety standards.
- Participate in meetings and report issues to the Unit Manager promptly.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State.
- Experience in healthcare delivery, with training available for recent graduates.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a busy clinic environment.
- Knowledge of infection control measures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per LPN scope of practice.
