Overview

  • Lead material planning and management strategies to ensure seamless manufacturing operations in a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and enhance supply chain reliability.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and SAP to monitor transactions and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Manage procurement processes, including requisitions, orders, and supplier coordination, to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Support strategic initiatives for material planning, including specialty material launches and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Balance service levels, risk mitigation, and excess inventory exposure to optimize raw material management.
  • Expedite critical orders and resolve supply chain challenges effectively to maintain operational continuity.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for material planning and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive material plans aligned with production schedules and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, addressing supplier issues to ensure material availability and quality.
  • Analyze production forecasts and material requirements to optimize inventory levels and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline material planning and procurement processes.
  • Monitor and manage purchase orders, invoicing, and supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates on material status and supply chain performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support scenario planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Contribute to strategic material planning efforts, including specialty material launches and risk management strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
  • 4–7 years of experience in supply chain planning or materials management preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills, including VBA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in forecasting and production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of GMP principles and pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing processes.
  • Preferred certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, APICS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage risk and improve planning accuracy with limited data availability.
