Fund Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage fund accounting processes, including preparation of financial statements and investor reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment strategies effectively.
- Monitor fund performance and analyze key metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Implement and refine internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure operational integrity.
- Collaborate with investment teams to provide financial insights and comprehensive support.
- Oversee fund administration, including capital calls and distributions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards rigorously.
Fund Controller Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- 10-15 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management essential.
- Strong knowledge of private equity fund operations and compliance practices.
- Experience in both public and private accounting environments preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with senior leadership.
- Ability to work on-site five days a week in a dynamic environment.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
