Lead Simulation Engineer Overview

  • The Lead Simulation Engineer will oversee simulation processes for design validation and improvement, ensuring quality and efficiency across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with design teams to conduct reviews, identify potential issues, and propose solutions based on simulation results.
  • Utilize advanced simulation tools, including Ansys, to perform thermal, static, vibration, and CFD analyses.
  • Document lessons learned from failures, creating accessible resources for future reference and organizational improvement.
  • Ensure testing fixtures meet design specifications to achieve accurate and reliable simulation outcomes.
  • Balance multiple simulation projects simultaneously, adapting to varying workloads and priorities.
  • Participate in DFMEA reviews and design document evaluations to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical expertise in automotive and plastics applications, leveraging seven or more years of industry experience.

Lead Simulation Engineer Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in simulation engineering, preferably in automotive and plastics industries.
  • Proficiency in Ansys software for thermal, static, vibration, and CFD analyses is essential.
  • Experience with mold flow and CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo is preferred.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure clear communication of simulation results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to dynamic workloads and priorities.
  • Comfortable participating in design reviews and sharing technical opinions effectively.
  • On-site work arrangement with standard hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
