Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the electrical architecture for autonomous aircraft, defining system requirements and hardware solutions.
- Design, develop, and qualify avionics, power distribution, and sensor interfaces.
- Architect and verify mixed-signal and power electronics, including PCB design and production support.
- Develop robust electrical system architectures and wiring diagrams for vehicle integration.
- Drive cross-functional integration to ensure subsystem and vehicle-level performance.
- Perform hands-on debugging and root cause analysis using laboratory instrumentation.
- Guide supplier selection, custom hardware development, and transition to production.
- Lead design reviews and establish engineering standards to improve development processes.
- Support aircraft integration, customer demonstrations, and flight test activities as required.
Electrical Engineer Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience designing complex electrical systems for high-reliability products.
- Proficiency in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
- Experience with multilayer PCB design, schematic capture, and production support.
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware architectures and industry-standard communication protocols.
- Proficiency with ECAD tools and laboratory equipment for hardware testing.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience with avionics, high-voltage power electronics, and harsh operating environments is preferred.
