Regional Nurse Director Emergency Services Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee clinical, operational, and financial performance of freestanding emergency departments.
• Lead nursing teams, ensuring quality care and operational consistency across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with hospital executives to develop and implement emergency services strategies.
• Manage staffing, quality metrics, and patient experience initiatives effectively.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards across all facilities.
• Coordinate ancillary services including imaging, laboratory testing, and environmental services.
• Drive performance improvement and employee engagement initiatives within the emergency departments.

Regional Nurse Director Emergency Services Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications.
• Minimum of three years of emergency services experience and nursing leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume acute care emergency services effectively.
• Experience in multisite leadership or freestanding emergency department management is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational management.
• Demonstrated readiness to advance into a multisite director role.
