Controller Overview

  • The Controller will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance for a family-owned pharmaceutical organization with diverse business interests.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for pharmaceutical and real estate ventures.
  • Collaborate with external manufacturing partners to ensure seamless financial integration and reporting.
  • Act as a financial steward for the family and their associated entities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain financial integrity across operations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee monthly financial close processes and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Work on complex financial structures, including real estate investments and pharmaceutical distribution.

Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for multiple entities.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.

Controller Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management; 15 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in pharmaceutical and real estate financial operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing complex financial structures and multi-entity operations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to oversee accounting staff.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools for efficient reporting and analysis.
