- The Nurse Director of Surgery Center will lead clinical operations and nursing excellence at a newly established ambulatory surgery center.

- Develop and implement policies, protocols, and guidelines aligned with accreditation standards.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of the nursing team, fostering a strong team dynamic.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimize patient safety and satisfaction.
- Establish quality assurance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives for clinical excellence.
- This position is based on-site at a state-of-the-art facility specializing in orthopedic surgery.
Nurse Director of Surgery Center Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and enforce nursing policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines for the surgery center.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard nursing staff, including RNs and surgical technologists.
- Oversee patient care, safety, and satisfaction throughout the surgical continuum.
- Manage nursing operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CMS and AAAHC/JCAHO requirements.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to optimize surgical workflows and outcomes.
- Lead orientation and ongoing clinical education for perioperative staff.
- Serve as the clinical liaison between nursing, administration, and medical staff.
Nurse Director of Surgery Center Job Requirements
- RN licensure in Arizona or the ability to obtain it.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Current or recent experience in orthopedic operating room nursing, including total joint replacement and spine surgery.
- Strong knowledge of ASC regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and surgical scheduling systems.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
