SharePoint Developer Overview

• The SharePoint Developer will lead the development of a user-friendly, engaging intranet platform for the client’s employees.
• Collaborate with Technology and HR teams to design and implement a well-organized intranet system.
• Utilize HTML, CSS, PHP, and other tools to build and configure the intranet structure and functionality.
• Provide strategic consulting on UX/UI design, content categorization, and user flows.
• Ensure compatibility and accessibility across devices and platforms for all employees.
• Work on a hybrid schedule, combining remote flexibility with on-site collaboration.

SharePoint Developer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Collaborate with the Technology team to build and configure intranet folders, pages, and navigation.
• Partner with HR to understand content requirements and design strategies for effective presentation.
• Provide guidance on UX/UI, information architecture, and overall intranet design.
• Develop and manage a project plan with clear milestones and deliverables.
• Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to gather insights and refine prototypes.
• Document processes and provide training for internal teams on intranet maintenance.
• Ensure the intranet is optimized for usability and employee engagement.

SharePoint Developer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of experience in intranet or employee portal development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and familiarity with other programming languages.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and information architecture.
• Experience with common intranet platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or Notion.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Experience in content strategy or internal communications is a plus.
