Director of Accounting Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee general ledger, consolidation, technical accounting, tax, and cash management activities.
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Provide technical guidance on GAAP, tax, and statutory reporting regulations.
• Manage and monitor accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for compliance.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team through coaching and performance evaluations.

Director of Accounting Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required; CPA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined public and private accounting experience.
• Expertise in SEC reporting, compliance, and international accounting practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and influence teams.
• Proven track record of implementing new systems and solutions.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience in finance leadership within a multinational organization.
