Job Description

Registered Nurse Overview

  • Provide exceptional nursing care as a Registered Nurse in an adult care setting, ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Administer medications and perform skilled nursing procedures in compliance with physician directives.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and document findings to support individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, preventive strategies, and self-care techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt care plans to address evolving health needs effectively.
  • Participate in team meetings to review patient care strategies and outcomes collaboratively.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
  • Contribute to a supportive and professional environment focused on high-quality geriatric care.

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient intake and regular clinical assessments to identify care needs and update service plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and perform skilled nursing procedures with precision and care.
  • Document nursing evaluations, care plans, and recommendations accurately in clinical records.
  • Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and ensure tasks are completed to high standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to align clinical services with patient care goals.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care strategies.
  • Ensure timely completion and receipt of physician orders for patient treatments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and optimize care plans.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in acute or subacute care settings.
  • Experience in adult care centers and geriatric care is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • UAS certification is desirable for this role.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Ability to work on-site and adhere to scheduled hours reliably.
