Job Description

Clinic Coordinator Overview

  • The Clinic Coordinator will oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of clinical services with physicians and medical staff.
  • This role involves evaluating clinic activities and recommending improvements to policies, procedures, and operational methods.
  • Responsible for maintaining patient medical histories and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provides patient instructions regarding treatments and medications, fostering clear communication and understanding.
  • Acts as a liaison with other treatment-related disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Coordinates the receipt and review of patient laboratory analyses and x-rays for timely diagnosis and treatment.

Clinic Coordinator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Schedule clinical services efficiently, collaborating with physicians and medical support staff to optimize patient care.
  • Evaluate clinic operations and propose updates to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and secure patient medical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between various treatment-related disciplines for integrated care.
  • Manage the receipt and processing of laboratory analyses and x-rays, ensuring timely availability for clinical review.
  • Support clinic staff with EPIC system training and utilization for efficient clinic management.

Clinic Coordinator Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in healthcare coordination are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical coordination or related healthcare roles.
  • Proficiency in EPIC system or similar healthcare management software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective clinic operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work on-site during standard clinic hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
