Payroll And Benefits Administrator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct biweekly payroll audits, resolving discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Perform payroll tax reconciliations and manage unemployment claims efficiently.
  • Administer benefits open enrollment processes and handle benefit billing transactions.
  • Coordinate employee leave and ensure payroll adjustments align with policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits programs with professionalism.
  • Support HR data transactions in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within payroll and benefits operations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports, including census and workers’ compensation documentation.

Payroll And Benefits Administrator Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience; familiarity with Workday or ADP preferred.
  • APA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proficient in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll and benefits information.
