Senior Contracts Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and route clinical contracts and change orders, gathering required inputs and documentation for accurate processing.
- Review draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change Orders, ensuring consistency and completeness of templates.
- Coordinate internal review and signature processes across legal, finance, and clinical teams to ensure timely execution.
- Track contract progress and maintain tools for monitoring contract and change order statuses across clinical projects.
- Collaborate with sourcing partners, partnership managers, and vendor management to support contract execution.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, updating templates and supporting new procedure implementation.
- Organize and archive contract documentation, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of executed agreements.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training guides to support team knowledge and consistent execution.
Senior Contracts Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management tools such as SharePoint and DocuSign.
- Basic understanding of contract structures and financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to support process improvement initiatives and document workflows and SOPs for team efficiency.
