Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and primary care services.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and administrative procedures.
  • Participate in shared call schedules to maintain continuity of care.
  • Ensure compliance with medical board regulations and organizational policies.

  • Provide mentorship and training to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Medical Director Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a valid state-specific Medical Board license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 7 years preferred in relevant fields.
  • Experience in treating and diagnosing HIV/AIDS patients in outpatient settings.
  • AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • Valid DEA and Furnishing license, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in managing clinical and administrative duties effectively.
  • Comfortable working with the LGBTQ+ community and diverse patient populations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing healthcare teams.
