Assistant Controller Overview
- The Assistant Controller will oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and processes.

Assistant Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Oversee ERP implementation, including chart of accounts design, testing, and data migration.
- Apply revenue recognition policies across diverse contract types, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
- Maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements and prepare audit documentation.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and physical inventory.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring quality and efficiency in their work.
- Support financial planning and analysis with accurate actuals and reporting packages.
- Implement and monitor internal controls suitable for government contracting environments.
Assistant Controller Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with team management responsibilities.
- Experience in manufacturing, government contracting, and ERP systems implementation.
- Proficiency in ASC 606 revenue recognition and fixed asset accounting.
- Knowledge of U.S. government contracts, including OTAs and FAR compliance.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
- Experience in audit preparation and maintaining GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Comfortable using AI tools for accounting and analytical tasks.
