Senior Accountant Overview

• The Senior Accountant will lead optimization efforts for accounting activities, including corporate and operational accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Focus on improving efficiencies and business practices within accounting processes to enhance organizational performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external departments to innovate and execute process simplifications and improvements.
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial results to support management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies in financial transactions and statements.
• Participate in the accurate preparation and timely filing of external SEC reports.
• Oversee technical accounting and disclosure requirements for areas within the role’s responsibility.
• Support audit requirements, including internal, external, and compliance audits, maintaining an appropriate control environment.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded and financial statements comply with GAAP and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with departments to identify and implement process improvements and simplifications.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports to assist management in strategic decision-making.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 4 years preferred.
• Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting tasks is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, evaluation, and implementation skills to drive process improvements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to achieve objectives.
• Detail-oriented professional with a focus on maintaining robust internal controls.
• Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements is advantageous.
