Senior Accountant Overview

  • The Senior Accountant role focuses on equity accounting and reporting within a dynamic finance team.
  • Develop expertise in stock-based compensation accounting, equity administration, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate equity transaction processing and compliance.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives including acquisitions, capital raises, and equity program enhancements.
  • Gain exposure to ASC 718 accounting, technical research, and SOX controls implementation.
  • Support audit preparation and deliverables across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist in preparing equity-related calculations for income tax provisions and financial disclosures.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform monthly accounting for stock-based compensation programs under ASC 718.
  • Prepare and maintain calculations, schedules, and expense forecasts for equity transactions.
  • Analyze equity transactions, including grants, modifications, and RSU settlements.
  • Support accounting for equity-related transactions tied to strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing stock compensation disclosures for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and external administrators on equity transaction processing.
  • Monitor equity activity and ensure alignment between systems and records.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and manage audit request trackers.
  • Coordinate investor reporting packages and manage year-end audit inquiries.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in ASC 718 accounting and equity transaction analysis.
  • Experience with SOX controls, audit preparation, and technical accounting research.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external administrators.
