Medical Director Overview

  • The Medical Director will oversee primary care services, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and LGBTQ+ community health.

Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead outpatient primary care services, focusing on HIV/AIDS patient treatment and LGBTQ+ health.
  • Supervise and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in clinical settings.
  • Ensure compliance with medical standards and organizational policies.
  • Conduct patient consultations, managing up to 15-18 cases daily.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Bureau Chief and senior medical officers for strategic planning.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Promote community health initiatives and research in HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ care.
  • Participate in continuous education and certification programs to maintain expertise.

Medical Director Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a valid state-specific medical license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outpatient primary care; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in treating and diagnosing HIV/AIDS patients in clinical settings.
  • AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • Valid DEA and furnishing license; current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience leading a team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community and diverse patient populations.
  • Strong administrative and clinical leadership skills.
