- The Payroll Administrator will manage payroll operations for approximately 500 employees, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and accurate record-keeping.
- This role involves transitioning payroll systems from Sage Timberline to CMiC Construction Software.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to process payroll, administer benefits, and resolve discrepancies.
- Work on-site in a structured environment with provided lunch and parking facilities.
- Ensure accurate tax preparation and compliance with union and collective bargaining agreements.
- Contribute to maintaining employee satisfaction through effective payroll and benefits administration.

Payroll Administrator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process payroll for approximately 500 employees, including union workers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Administer new hires, data entry, direct deposit setups, and employee deductions.
- Set up and manage garnishments, levies, child support, and 401K deductions.
- Prepare and pay weekly and quarterly payroll taxes, maintaining compliance.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of vacation and sick days.
- Prepare certified payrolls and ensure compliance with labor union agreements.
- Collaborate with the team to transition payroll systems and optimize processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll-related activities.
Payroll Administrator Job Requirements
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background required.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, with 5 years preferred.
- Experience with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll software systems.
- Knowledge of Sage Timberline or CMiC Construction Software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in payroll administration.
- Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in a structured environment.
