• The Head of Shared Services will lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of the shared services organization.
• Oversee functions including Payroll, Billing, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Travel & Expense, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
• Drive process standardization, system integration, and continuous improvement across all shared services functions.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and Operations leaders to align shared services with enterprise priorities.
• Develop and implement strategies, internal controls, and operating procedures to support scalable service delivery.
• Champion automation, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead integration efforts for shared services during acquisitions and expansions.
• Build and develop a high-performing shared services team focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Head of Shared Services Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide strategic leadership for Payroll, Billing, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Travel & Expense functions.
• Drive ERP transformation and optimize financial systems to enhance service delivery.
• Evaluate and redesign end-to-end processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing across all shared services functions.
• Implement strong internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation for cost-effective service delivery.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through upskilling and leadership development.

Head of Shared Services Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with 12 years preferred, in shared services leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in ERP systems, process optimization, and financial system integration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, billing, procurement, and accounts payable operations.
• Experience in leading large teams and driving workforce transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to implement cost-saving initiatives and optimize service delivery.
• Proficiency in establishing KPIs and performance dashboards for operational excellence.
• Ability to work remotely and manage teams across multiple locations effectively.
