Electrical Engineer Overview

• The Electrical Engineer will design electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on challenging projects up to $500 million in scope.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members in a collaborative environment.
• Develop and execute designs for lighting systems, power distribution, and control systems for mechanical and refrigeration systems.

Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead engineering and design teams to prepare detailed drawings and specifications for electrical systems.
• Design and implement lighting and lighting control systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
• Develop low and medium voltage power distribution systems tailored to project requirements.
• Specify materials and methods for electrical system construction, adhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with architectural and mechanical designs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all designs and implementations.
• Provide consultation and problem-solving expertise to address complex engineering challenges.
• Mentor and support junior engineers to foster professional growth and team development.

Electrical Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience designing electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Proven ability to independently create construction documents and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Experience within the A/E consulting industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in designing lighting systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for electrical systems.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site collaboration.
