Accounting Associate Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain accurate books and records for the management company and related entities, ensuring compliance and precision.
  • Manage accounts payable activities, including vendor onboarding, invoice reviews, approvals, and payment processing.
  • Prepare and verify wire instructions for cash movements and support accounts receivable processes.
  • Coordinate reimbursement of expenses from portfolio companies and affiliates, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Review expense reports for proper inclusion in the accounting system and prepare ad hoc analyses and reports.
  • Track tax payments, deadlines, and correspondence while supporting annual audits and budget processes.
  • Participate in system implementations and special projects to optimize financial operations and reporting.

Accounting Associate Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with strong academic credentials.
  • Two to three years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating proficiency in financial operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and aptitude for learning new financial systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to precision in all tasks.
