Senior Director Record to Report Overview

  • The Senior Director Record to Report role offers an opportunity to lead financial processes in a dynamic, globally-focused organization.
  • Oversee the Record to Report (RTR) process, including Fixed Assets, General Accounting, and Financial Reporting for Americas operations.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance teams to ensure accurate consolidations and financial reporting across legal entities.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability within the Shared Service delivery model.
  • Lead a motivated team focused on continuous improvement and best practices in financial operations.
  • Act as a key liaison to labels and affiliates, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in governance committees and represent the RTR team in organizational decision-making processes.

Senior Director Record to Report Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the RTR process team to deliver efficient and standardized financial operations across the Americas.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Monitor performance metrics and service level agreements, suggesting improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure audit controls are followed and provide guidance on audit strategies.
  • Partner with corporate finance teams for consolidations and financial reporting.
  • Act as a point of escalation for financial reporting and reconciliation issues.
  • Coordinate with external groups affecting the RTR process to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Manage offshore teams to drive process improvements and scalability.
  • Support internal audit processes and ensure timely completion of period-end activities.

Senior Director Record to Report Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in RTR leadership or process ownership roles.
  • Proven expertise in SAP systems and financial process management.
  • Experience in governance structures and compliance processes across global organizations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean methodologies is desirable.
  • Experience with audit controls and financial reporting compliance.
