Job Description

Data Analyst, Reporting Overview

  • The Data Analyst, Reporting will oversee data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Portfolio Management to execute technical designs and maintain data systems.
  • Contribute to the firm's data-driven decision-making processes by providing reliable and structured data solutions.
  • Work within a hybrid environment, balancing technical execution and business understanding.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline data handling and reporting tasks.
  • Support system implementations, data migrations, and integrations with precise execution and documentation.

Data Analyst, Reporting Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations using SQL and dbt.
  • Load, refresh, and validate data across the firm's data warehouse and source systems.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Execute recurring data-quality checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support firm-wide system implementations, data migrations, and integrations.
  • Assist in testing and validation activities for new systems and enhancements.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, SQL, VBA, or Power Automate.
  • Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date records of pipelines and routines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business needs.

Data Analyst, Reporting Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or data engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data warehouses like Snowflake or Azure.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for report creation.
  • Exposure to data transformation tools like dbt and scripting languages like Python.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in executing recurring deliverables.
  • Ability to follow technical direction and maintain documentation accurately.
  • Interest in financial services or asset management is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow technically.
