Cyber Security Engineer Overview

  • The Cyber Security Engineer will implement and maintain security measures across cloud platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed secure-by-design principles into technology solutions and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and strengthen the organization’s security posture.
  • Support secure software development by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.

Cyber Security Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Implement security controls across cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and AI-enabled systems.
  • Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments to mitigate risks.
  • Develop monitoring, detection, alerting, and incident response capabilities in collaboration with security operations teams.
  • Integrate security tooling and automation into development workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Build and operationalize security controls for sensitive data protection and identity management.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with third-party technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of security standards and engineering patterns.

Cyber Security Engineer Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with 10 years preferred.
  • Strong expertise in cloud security, particularly AWS, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Terraform.
  • Experience with security tooling like SIEM/SOAR, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems and regulated environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
