Product Manager Overview

  • The Product Manager role focuses on designing and governing Private Wealth products and investment programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define operational parameters and ensure compliance.
  • Translate business intent into operational specifications, ensuring precision and alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Govern product lifecycle management, ensuring structural guardrails and eligibility rules are maintained.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Operations to establish clear operational frameworks.
  • Develop governance artifacts such as parameter matrices, eligibility frameworks, and decision logs.
  • Ensure data attributes are structured and consistently applied across systems and reporting.
  • Support product launches by delivering accurate specifications for execution by downstream teams.
  • Identify and resolve gaps or risks in existing product governance frameworks.

Product Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Define and maintain rules governing product and program eligibility and operational constraints.
  • Design operational specifications for investment advisory programs and client-facing initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy constraints.
  • Maintain governance documentation, including decision logs and program specifications.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for product and program rules across stakeholder groups.
  • Support product launches with complete and accurate parameter specifications.
  • Identify and address inconsistencies or risks in governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Client Service, and Data & Technology teams.
  • Ensure data attributes are properly structured and consistently applied across systems.

Product Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Series 7 & 66 certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or investment advisory.
  • Strong knowledge of investment product structures, including mutual funds and alternative investments.
  • Experience with investment advisory models, fee structures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with account data structures, reference data management, or product master.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with strong judgment and discretion.
  • Adaptable and energized by building in a dynamic team environment.
