Job Description

HR Generalist Overview

  • The HR Generalist will oversee comprehensive human resources functions, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes to support organizational goals.
  • Administer payroll processes, benefits programs, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on visa and immigration matters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace policies.
  • Prepare HR reports and updates for headquarters, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Support office management tasks, including supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment through proactive HR practices.

HR Generalist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and offer letters.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees.
  • Administer payroll and benefits programs, including reconciliations and enrollment periods.
  • Prepare and manage employee performance evaluations and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and recommend best practices for HR policies.
  • Collaborate with external counsel on visa and immigration processes for employees.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support office management tasks, including vendor coordination and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide HR reporting and updates to headquarters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

HR Generalist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience; 5 years preferred, ideally in financial services.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Paylocity payroll software is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and applicable laws.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is a plus.
  • Must possess high integrity and ability to handle confidential matters.
